Lamplighter Award given to those fostering the light of truth in a dark world: To Bishop Michael Burbidge, for his eloquent defense of truth about the transgender insanity infecting our culture. His document, A Catechesis on the Human Person and Gender Ideology, states that gender ideology “presents a view of the human person contrary to the truth...of our created nature and human sexuality. Indeed, charity always requires the clear presentation of the truth.” We commend the bishop for his clear and compassionate approach. This document along with guidelines for school implementation (not publicly disseminated) require all students to dress, use restrooms, play sports, etc. according to their biological sex while offering access to single use bathrooms and other accommodations. The bishop’s documents could be models for every diocese in the country. Bishop Burbidge is now a target for LGBTQ activists beginning with Fr. James Martin who accused him of the “worst kind of hatred” for his efforts to protect both the bodies and souls of God’s littlest ones. We beg all the angels and saints to intercede for Bishop Burbidge and all those bishops who defend the truth and face the vicious rage as a result. Millstone Award To all the silent shepherds who enable evil by failing to do their duty to teach the flock. May St. John Fisher pray for their courage. To Mike Voris, Christine Niles, and Church Militant (CM)for their vile attacks on the SSPX, the bishops, the Catholic media, traditional laity, etc. They smear others with lies, innuendo, rash judgment, rumors, loaded language, vitriol, etc. breaking the 5th and 8th Commandments. They rarely speak the truth in charity. Voris recently labeled all the U.S. bishops homosexuals, homosexual enablers, or cowards over their Baltimore Enough is Enough Rally dispute with the city. He also called them “Johns” paying their hookers. His vicious attacks are scandalous. May St. Michael the Archangel, CM’s patron, intercede for Mike Voris and company. Intercede for us now, O glorious virgin, in our present need. As we bow before the Most Blessed Sacrament, ask Jesus on our behalf for healing of mind, body and soul, and the forgiveness of our sins....For He has only to say the word that we may be healed and defended from everything that would threaten our Catholic faith. Amen |
