***Creepy Cardinal in Cahoots with COVID Crooks! Cardinal Cupich is creating a two-tiered system in Chicago where the vaccinated holy ones get special privileges over the unvaccinated untouchables. Joining all the COVID crooks in government, he destroys unity in the name of false charity that reduces “science” to political expediency. Not only is he telling all diocesan employees to take the jab (It’s an “act of charity” for the common good ya know!), but, if employees don’t bend the knee, there are serious reprisals. The unvaccinated must take weekly COVID tests, wear masks, and will be banned from certain areas. Policies toward the sick are drastically different. The unholy unvaccinated who get the virus will be required to take personal days during their 10-day quarantine period. The holy vaccinated will be given 10 extra days of sick leave. Discrimination anyone? [There is a rumor that the unvaccinated will also be required to wear a yellow U prominently displayed on their clothing, ring a bell whenever they are within six feet of another person, and shout, “unvaccinated, unvaccinated” in order to warn others of their deadly approach.]
***More Creepy Cardinals Demanding Diabolical Jab! It’s interesting to note that the bishops on board the vax high speed train are mostly liberals in the cookie cutter mold of Pope Francis. Let’s look at a few. John Stowe of Lexington. You may remember him as the bishop who slandered Nick Sandmann and the Covington students as hateful bigots at the 2019 March for Life even after videos revealed the big lie! He’s mandating the vax and has banned unvaxed priests from ministering to the sick and homebound! All this despite the fact that the science shows vaxed people spread the disease and carry as great a viral load as the unvaxed who become infected. Liberals in roman collars never let facts interfere with their fanaticism. Stowe aggressively pushes the LGBT agenda and calls the environment the “preeminent moral issue” rather than abortion. [Dead babies in our landfills and water treatment systems are apparently no problem.] Then there’s Bishop Mark Seitz of El Paso. Seitz knelt for Black Lives Matter and got an attaboy phone call from Pope Francis. Seitz tells Catholics they can’t be “single issue voters” and praised abortion radical Kamala Harris as a model for women. [Tiny aborted women would likely disagree.] He supports Biden’s border invasion and policies on climate change. Seitz demands that all employees and those engaged in any volunteer ministry must be vaxed, with exemptions only for serious health conditions. [Moral objections to the abortion-tainted vax? Nada!] The list goes on and on: Bishop Robert McElroy of L.A., well known for his liberalism; Archbishop John Wester of Santa Fe, notorious for covering up abuse of minors and supporting the LGBT agenda and the heretical priest group, the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP); etc. Thank God for other bishops pushing back against the vaccine mandates. Kudos to the Colorado bishops, Samuel Aquila, Steven Berg, and James Golka who are issuing vaccine exemption letters to Colorado parishioners. Their letter announcing the policy reads in part: "Vaccination is not morally obligatory and so must be voluntary....The Catholic Church teaches that a person may refuse a medical intervention, including a vaccination, if his or her conscience leads them to that decision.... they should not be penalized for doing so....Throughout history, human rights violations and a loss of respect for each person’s God-given dignity often begin with government mandates that fail to respect the freedom of conscience....In the case of the COVID-19 vaccine, we are convicted that the government should not impose medical interventions on an individual or group of persons....We urge respect for each person’s convictions and personal choices." Thank God for sensible bishops even if they represent a small remnant!
***Did the Pope Really Tell Joe He’s a Good Catholic? And tell him to keep receiving Communion? Sad to say, it’s plausible; the Vatican hasn’t denied it. Joe Biden, hypocrite and liar, is a man who advocates abortion, sodomy, robs the working man of his wage, and supports policies that hurt the poor -- all four sins that cry to heaven for vengeance. His eternal soul is at stake, but he was welcomed with open arms and a big smile by Pope Francis. Sadly, the pope of Pachamama sounds like a liberal politician. He promotes Democrat issues like global warming and vaccine mandates and minimizes intrinsic moral evils. A moral relativist, he advances modernism, the “synthesis of all heresies,” and socialism. Since, as Christians, we are called to “love [our] enemies and do good to those who hate [us],” let us pray for the conversion of all false shepherds lest they suffer Jeremiah’s lament: “Woe to the pastors, that destroy and tear the sheep of my pasture.” (Douay-Rheims)
***Traditionis Custodes, Framing Issues in Falsehoods! The liturgical tradition of the Catholic Church for almost 2000 years was the Mass as it was celebrated in the Latin form. As early as Pope St. Gregory the Great who died in 604, “we have the text of the Mass, its order and arrangement, as a sacred tradition that no one has ventured to touch except in unimportant details." [From The Mass: A Study of the Roman Liturgy by Fr. Adrian Fortescue] But it goes back even further. Those who claim the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) originated with Pope Pius V in the 16th century are historically ignorant. Our tradition, since the 2nd century, was the TLM. Pope Pius V, merely fulfilled the Council of Trent’s (1545-1563) mandate for a new edition of the Missale Romanum. Why did the Council call for revision? Duh! In response to the Protestant Revolution. All revolutions begin with language manipulation and many errors crept into the Mass after Luther’s rebellion. The Church, in her wisdom, wanted to eliminate novelties and heretical movements. Interestingly, Pius V allowed use of missals over 200 years old, long before the crisis. Those missals were products of a continuous tradition that could be traced back to the second century when the Caesars still ruled. The modernists, of course, wanted to pretend that the Vatican-mandated novus ordo (NO) was returning the Church to her early history. Big lie! The NO, unlike former revisions, which changed nothing essential, was exactly what its name implies – a “new,” i.e. novel, liturgy that eliminated aspects offensive to Protestants. In fact, Anatole Bugnini, the NO architect, included numerous protestants in his demolition work using Cranmer’s Mass as a model for the NO. What an insult to the English martyrs who died for the Mass of our Fathers.
***Pope Francis: Fan of George Orwell’s Newspeak?
The motu proprio and the letter that accompanied it were dishonest! Francis claimed the survey of the bishops about the TLM justified suppression because it creates division. But Diane Montagna, Vatican journalist, speaking at the Catholic Identity Conference in early October, appeared to have a leaked copy of the survey results. First of all, only a small percentage of the world’s bishops responded. Two thirds of those endorsed leaving Benedict’s Summorum Pontificum intact. They saw benefits from the TLM in their dioceses. Even most of the bishops criticizing certain aspects of the laity’s practice, also recommended leaving the situation alone. Note that the survey results were never released! The faithful must trust the integrity of Francis and his handpicked supporters. But even before the survey results were collected and tabulated, groundwork was laid within the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) to suppress the TLM. This leads to the conclusion that the survey was a smokescreen deliberately used and distorted to squash the TLM. Francis uses semantic gymnastics to advance the Great Reset, which includes one world religion among its goals. In view of his many other actions watering down the faith and advancing the Church’s enemies like Jeffrey Sachs, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden, Pope Francis cannot be trusted. Resisting his errors is the obligation of every faithful Catholic, not just men like Bishop Athanasius Schneider, Archbishop Carlo Vigano and a handful of faithful shepherds.
***Not All Bad News: Twilight before the Dawn! God is faithful to His people and the November elections show how He uses current events and worldly leaders to give hope and encourage the flock. Even after the Israelites worshiped the golden calf, God continued to lead them with the pillars of fire and cloud and feed them with manna and quails. He never abandoned them, despite their sinful grumbling. And so he remains with our sinful country, a blessed land bathed in blood -- immersed in abortion, contraception, pornography, human trafficking, drug abuse, greed, etc. – our litany of depravity. Nonetheless, on election day God delivered Virginia from continued tyranny. By his Providence we defeated an evil Catholic, Terry McAuliffe,who champions sins that cry to heaven for vengeance. All three of the top executive positions went to solid conservatives who reject abortion extremism and Republicans recaptured the House of Delegates. Before the election, the Diocese of Arlington called for a novena to Our Lady with a daily Memorare recited after Mass at all the parishes. The USCCB also had an election novena with daily prayer intentions. As usual most dissenting Catholic could easily have joined as the USSCCB focused on issues like ending racial inequality, dialoguing, social teachings, etc. Except for mentioning Our Lady’s rosary, most of the items could have been written by the Nuns on the Bus.
***VA Wasn’t the Only Area Blessed on Nov. 2nd. Minneapolis, a liberal enclave, rejected the defund the police initiative and refused to turn over their safety to the elitists who allowed Antifa and BLM to rage unchecked and burn their city. In New Jersey, a truck driver, Edward Durr who spent $153 on his primary campaign and about $5000 total (He shot his campaign video on a cell phone.), unseated the second most powerful lawmaker in the state, Senate President Steve Sweeney. Just imagine the laughing Democrats who considered Durr’s campaign a joke. Watch them scramble in internecine warfare as it’s now open season with Democrat rivals fighting for the top legislative spot. Then there’s the close election for New Jersey’s governor. A state with a Dem machine to rival Chicago’s barely scraped out a win for Governor Phil Murphy. The election was a referendum on Biden and Democrat policies. In fact, Biden’s election may have been the high water mark for the Democrats’ sinking ship. They are in big trouble going into the midterms. In addition to losing big in Virginia, they kept the governor’s mansion in NJ by the skin of their teeth, but the closeness of that election was also a big Dem loss.
***And What Spurred the Election Day Success? Parents and their love for their children. Loudoun County, VA parents, fighting critical race theory and disastrous COVID policies that hurt their children, spearheaded the pushback. Backed by prayer, they exposed the brutality of the education system. When the National School Board Association labeled them “domestic terrorists,” and called for government investigation half their affiliates rebelled and about a dozen left the organization altogether. Parents showed the country how to fight with integrity. Now it’s time to imitate those parents with monastic zeal. ORA ET LABORA! Pray & work!
